Lawrence “Squirrelly” Roberts, a resident of Florida (Why do they always have to be from Florida?) tried to remove his 15-year old son’s cast with an electric circular saw. Well, he took off more than just the cast. He also sliced off the tip of his kid’s right thumb and nearly severed his index finger as well.

Elvin “passed out” in his trailer leaving his 18-month-old toddler alone. Outside. Surrounded by beer cans.
The child starting drinking from those cans. That’s when neighbors called the police.
“Ya’ll ain’t gonna believe this. There’s a baby outside a trailer drinking beer!” (Having lived in Florida for several years…I believe it!)
Elvin was arrested on child neglect charges. The child was taking into care by the Department of Children and Families. Investigators described the home as “deplorable,” which probably explains why the kid went outside to have a beer.
