*Internet Rockstar* Shoemoney.com Founder Jeremy Schoemaker Spills It!

If you spend as much time online as I do then you probably have a favorite blog. My wife, for example, swings by TMZ.com and Celebrity-Babies.com at least once a day. My co-host Kris spends hours on Cuteoverload and JDate (not a blog, but one of her favs.) And my mother, who is WAY too into Virtual Worlds is addicted to iVinnie.com.
Well, I have two favorite blogs: This one, and Shoemoney.com by Jeremy Schoemaker.
Shoemoney.com is more than just “Skills to Pay the Bills” as the meta-tag title claims. It is one half online money-making manual and one-half techno-geek personal diary. Instructional posts about Yahoo Search Marketing and the latest changes to Google Adsense are intertwined with “Airline Travel Tips” and photos of Jeremy’s home office, Hummer H2, and dog (not in that order.)
But aside from a REALLY interesting site, Jeremy Schoemaker is best known for one thing: the check he got from Google for $132, 994.97. For cyber-geeks and online entrepreneurs, it is legend. For Jeremy Schoemaker, it’s a day’s pay.
Listen to my interview below and go inside the mind of an online money-making master.

Blake Lewis From American Idol Hates Sanjaya, Taylor Hicks, and David Archuletta’s Father

Blake Lewis is best known as the beat-boxing runner-up from American Idol Season 6. He has been one of the lucky ones and has actually completed an album. That’s where his luck runs out as he is struggling to get airplay for his first single “Break Anotha” or the recently released “How Many Words.” So, he’s on a cross-country media tour drumming up support for himself and try to peddle as many albums as possible….oh, and sharing his candid thoughts about his least-favorite competitor, Sanjaya Malakar. Here is the clip:
Off the air he also told us that he got into a tiff with David Archuletta’s Stage-dad Jeff. And when asked about Season 5 Winner Taylor Hicks, Blake pulled no punches: “America voted…for a D-bag!”

Tim Gunn is quite possibly the most genuinely pleasant person I have ever met. He is also, one the most popular guests we have ever had in studio. Phones ringing for hours…before, during, and after his appearance. With good reason. He is funny, well-spoken, and full of great fashion advice.
He shared with us:
- His 10 Women’s Wardrobe Essentials
- What you should NEVER do when it comes to clothes
- Who he thought would win Project Runaway
Hope you enjoy!

I Like Elliot Spitzer’s Hookers Voice
March 13, 2008 by Mark Kaye
This morning we were playing a song that Elliot Spitzer’s Hooker-friend recorded and posted on her myspace page. (She has either canceled her account or the page was removed by myspace because it isn’t there anymore. It’s a shame too because the last time I checked she had over 5,000,000 views. I’m sure at least one of them was a record producer.) The song is called What We Want and you can hear it at www.aimeestreet.com.
Anyhoo, we played the song for a few minutes. It was very clubby. Very poppy. Very “Pussycat Doll-ish.” And despite the simple lyrics I found it quite catchy. That does not bode well for her future singer career because, when it comes to picking “hit” music, I suck!
Here is a list of songs that I remember hearing for the first time and thinking “This song blows!” Or, “This will never be a hit.” Or, “We aren’t actually going to play this on the radio are we?”
1. Livin’ La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin (The horns gave me a headache.)
2. Believe by Cher (I thought it was a man at first. No way did I think it would be a hit. Turns out it was the most played song of 1998. Oops.)
3. Get Your Freak On by Missy Elliot (This one just annoyed me.)
4. Drop It Like It’s Hot by Snoop Doggy Dogg (It’s the first time a rap star has successfully used a slide whistle in a song about pimps and hos and guns and stuff.)
5. My Name Is by Eminen (A white rapper? Nobody will take him seriously.)
So as you can see, I no longer try to pick the next hit because, it just isn’t my thing. I leave that to the program directors and music directors of the world. (If only they would show me the same courtesy.)
Was there ever I song that you thought sucked but the world fell in love with? Come on, fess up! What “Hit” did you just not get?
Obama’s Reggae Anthem – Madonna in the Hall of Fame – Marion Jones Behind Bars – HOT TALK!
Today I decided to wear a hat for my segment….big mistake. Notice Staci’s reaction when she sees it. It is a cross between surprise, disgust, and pity. I haven’t had a woman look at me that way since I wore yellow pineapple suspenders to the first day of ninth grade!
Wait until Staci sees the hat I wear next week!
20 Minutes with Chris Core: Formerly of WMAL-AM – Mark Kaye Exclusive Interview
March 6, 2008 by Mark Kaye

It’s been less than a week since Chris Core’s last show on WMAL-AM. This morning I got 20 minutes of his time to talk about his past, present and future. After 33 years in one place the man has some incredible stories and some strong opinions. I originally envisioned this interview as a radio version of “Inside the Actors Studio” starring me as “Radio James Lipton” and Chris Core as, well, Chris Core. However, as we started talking that plan got tossed out the window because it was more fun just to talk. After all, it is what Chris Core does best!
We talked about everything! Including:
- What “went down” after his final broadcast
- Why he’s been labeled a “flaming liberal”
- What he thinks of some other “Talk Stars”
- What got delivered to the WMAL studios the day he was fired
- His meeting with Paul Harvey
- His political aspirations
- What he REALLY wants to do next!
I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did.
(The video is an abridged version of the entire interview. YouTube does not allow users to upload videos longer than ten minutes. To hear the complete unedited interview CLICK HERE.)

I Talked to “Ben Linus” From LOST! (And He Is Totally Cool!)
March 4, 2008 by Mark Kaye
People who watch LOST will understand when I say this was one of the most exciting things that has ever happened to me.
I received an email late yesterday saying that Michael Emerson was available for interviews. Michel Emerson is the actor genius who portrays “Benjamin Linus” on ABC’s LOST. As a LOST fanatic I jumped at the chance. There was only one spot left in the interview schedule…please God, let me get that spot!
A few moments later, I received my reply: INTERVIEW CONFIRMED. I began to sweat. Half from excitement, half from terror. Would Michael Emerson the actor be accommodating and friendly, or would Ben Linus the leader of the others try to manipulate my mind? Turned out to be…a little bit of both. Enjoy!
Haven’t gotten LOST yet? You can still catch up!
