Although Chris sometimes addressed some interesting topics on his radio talk show, I had to stop listening to him because he would so often cut people off. It got to be really stressful when I was listening, because I knew if a caller didn't blurt out his comment in ten seconds or less, Chris would cut him off. I know some people want to blather on forever, but Chris was excessive. He also fell prey to D.C.itis - arrogance that so many people in the D.C. area exhibit because they believe they are so important. On a fairly frequent basis through the years, Chris would justify speeding, and castigate people who try to abide by the speed limit. He often said that people should be able to drive whatever speed they wanted based on conditions. The driving bullies really didn't need that encouragement. Anyway, it has been proven that cars get better gas mileage when the driver tries to stay at least within ten miles of the speed limit.

I visit DC often, when I do I listen to Chris with admiration and pleasure.

But listening also causes me a bit of .... guilt? I guess is what I sometimes feel when I hear Chris.

Chirs is so deeply kind and at the same time very rational and intelectual that I feel like I'm not as good person as I'd like to be. I'm 56 I'm not having an identify chisis, thats not it.. He sets a higher standard for me. He is inspirational , what more can one ask of a leader? Tell him I'll raise money for any politcal campaign he is involved with.

With all the Left or Right stuff on talk radio,
Chris Core's sage refereeing of current events is a treasure. .

Chris, land on both feet and show 'em!
I'll follow, wherever! (and so will many others..)

You are a Right Wing Nut.....OOPS, I meant Leftie!
Folks, see how rational discussion causes one to step into new arenas of thought..

Dear Mark:
Great interview with one of my favorite people, Chris Core. The very experience Chris Core discribes regarding Paul Harvey I enjoyed with Crhis. When he and Bill Trumbull had the successful "Two For the Road," later renamed "Trumbull and Core," show, I would send in humorous and human interest material to him. I enjoy hearing the two guys using it and adding
their own bit of zaniness each time. After they used about 6 or 7 pieces, I received a call from Chris Core
saying how much they enjoyed using my material; then he asked, "What can we do for you?" I said, "I'd love to sit in the studio with you guys while you do the show." Chris said, "How about tomorrow?" So that I did and it was an enjoyable and memorable day. He also sometimes plugged my Post pieces on the air. In today's interview, I could really understood the Paul Harvey story he shared with you, Mark, about Chris's
hearing that unique voice directed at him. I once got a phone call from Mr. Harvey in praise of a story of mine he'd read. It was, as Chris said, awsome. I know Chris will land solidly on both feet. I just hope its something we can share in. - Vance
